This project explores the development of a personal MetaHuman likeness, built as a reusable and scalable digital human asset for future environment and character-driven work.
The current stage focuses on refining facial proportions, improving texture fidelity, and integrating custom skin detail passes. Using a combination of high-resolution photographic references and Unreal Engine’s MetaHuman framework, the goal is to strike a balance between realism and flexibility—allowing for future adjustments such as aging, variation, and expression refinement without breaking the underlying rig.
An Apple ARKit setup has also been implemented for real-time facial tracking, enabling more accurate performance capture and further grounding the character in believable motion.
This is an ongoing study in digital human workflows, with upcoming work aimed at expanding the pipeline through calibrated color charts, controlled lighting setups, and standardized studio backdrops—laying the foundation for a more consistent and production-ready character system.
