For this exercise, I removed the original lighting setup from the scene and rebuilt the lighting from scratch to explore mood, exposure, atmosphere, and visual storytelling through relighting alone. 
The primary focus was to establish: 
• Strong value composition 
• Warm and cool lighting contrast 
• Controlled shadow readability 
• Atmospheric depth using fog and bounce lighting 
• Cinematic focal direction through exposure and light placement 
Alongside the final relit shot, I also explored neutral lighting and grayscale value studies to better understand how lighting alone affects scene readability and emotional tone independent of materials and textures. This project continues my interest in cinematic environmental storytelling and follows on from the previous Dekogon's Subway carriage relighting study back in 2021. 
This time, taking advantage of Unreal Engine 5 and all the new Lighting Updates.
